Junior Foskey -EASTMAN - JUNIOR FOSKEY, age 58, of Eastman died Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2P.M. Friday, July 11 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with interment in Zebulon Cemetery. -Junior was born in Dodge County, a member of Dubois Baptist Church, a logger and son of the late Thelma Hall Foskey and Jim Foskey. -Survivors: daughter, Katie Burnham (Eric); two sons, Michael Gene Foskey (Sandy) and Ralph Foskey (Karlyn); six sisters, Clara Simmons, Jimmie Piper, Diane Sheffield, Claudia Foskey, Maudie Martin and Martha Pritchett; two brothers, Cleve Foskey and Clarence Foskey; seven grandchildren, Erica, Niki, A J, Josie, Caleb, Abygail and Hope; five step grandchildren. -The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Talmadge Baker -EASTMAN - Services for Talmadge Baker will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home. Interment will be in Milan City Cemetery. The Reverend Alvin Lewis and the Reverend Carl Cranford will officiate. -Baker, age 74, was the son of the late Sam and Elsie Jane (Thomas) Baker of Telfair County and married to Johnnie Belle Clarke Baker of Eastman. He was a member of Old Daniel Baptist Church, retired trucker and Sears Catalog Merchant and United States Army Veteran. -Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Belle Clarke Baker of Eastman; two sons, Clarke Baker of Telfair County, Mark (Robin) Baker of Dexter; two grandchildren, Danielle and Daniel Baker of Dexter; his little dog, Otto Baker; one sister, Nelle (Johnny) Deep of Macon; several nieces and nephews. -Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the funeral home. -Lowe's Funeral Home of Helena has charge of the arrangements.

Louise Fennell Taylor

Louise Fennell Taylor -EASTMAN - Louise Fennell Taylor, age 68, of Eastman, died Monday, April 28, 2008. Funeral services are scheduled for 4P.M., Thursday, May 1, from the graveside in Sand Grove Cemetery, Milan with Rev. Daniel Cook and Rev. Bobby Jones officiating. -Ms. Taylor, a native of Dodge County, was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, a retired Civil Service Employee of Warner Robins AFB and daughter of the late W L Fennell and Leila Jane Melvin Fennell. -Survivors: daughter, Lisa Taylor Dorris (Mike) of Warner Robins; son, Derek Taylor (Charidy) of Eastman; sister, Joan F. Ruby Pennington -EASTMAN - Mrs. Ruby Mae Saunders Pennington, age 83, of Eastman, died Saturday, April 26, 2008. -Funeral services are scheduled for 1P.M. Eleanor Rozar -EASTMAN - Eleanor Stufflebeam Rozar, age 72, of Eastman, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008. -Funeral services are scheduled for 2P.M. Billy Vaughn officiating. -Mrs. Rozar, a native of Dodge County, was a member of Lovely Grove Baptist Church, a homemaker, daughter of the late Mary Ellen Burch Stufflebeam and Jack Stufflebeam and widow of Billy Rozar. -Survivors: two daughters, Jackie Sanford (Wayne) and Joan Hartley (Roger); two sisters, Geraldine Barlow and Sandra Jackson (Wayne); four grandchildren, Jason Owens, Brad Owens, Brett Hartley and Megan Hartley; three great-grandchildren, Jarred, Ryan and Kortney. -Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman is serving the Rozar family.

Mary Helen Best -EASTMAN - Mrs. Mary Helen Atwell Best, age 87, of Eastman, formerly of Augusta, died Friday, April 18, 2008. -Funeral services will be held at 1P.M. Monday, April 21 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, Eastman, with graveside services at 4:30P.M. Monday in Ways Baptist Church Cemetery, Stellaville. -Mrs. Best, a native of Jefferson County, was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Augusta, a retired office manager for McDonald Builders, Inc. and widow of John H. Best. -Survivors: daughter, Angela Bryant Walker (G.S.); three sons, Wade A. Bryant, Don Bryant (Mary) and Douglas Bryant (Vickie); sister, Martha Lukemire; brother, W.T. Atwell; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. -In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Children's Ministry of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Grove Town, GA. Minnie B. Tindall -EASTMAN - Mrs. Minnie Lou "Sis" Braswell Tindall, age 82, of Eastman died Wednesday, April 16 at her residence. -Funeral services will be held at 4P.M. Friday, April 18 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Jerry Peele and Rev. Joe Daniel officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. -Mrs. Tindall, a native of Dodge County, was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, a retired sales clerk for Wynn's 5&10, a homemaker, daughter of the late Lillie Mae Upshaw Braswell and A. P. Braswell and widow of Bernice Tindall. She was preceded in death by a brother, James "Bud" Braswell. -Survivors: one daughter, Barbara Tindall Durham of Eastman; son-in-law, Ron Durham of Eastman; eight sisters, Velma Hale (D.D.), Mae Evelyn Tawzer (T.H.), Sally Storey (Arthur), Colleen Harnan (Franklin), Jean Lloyd (Ray), Gearldean Ferrell (Roy), Wanda Harris (Thomas) and Sandra Sumner; two brothers, L. A. Helen Steavpack -EASTMAN - Mrs. Helen Bowles Steavpack, age 85, of Eastman, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008. -Funeral services will be held at 1P.M. Friday, April 18 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Bill Jones officiating, with interment in Orphans Cemetery. -Mrs. Steavpack, a native of Elkhorn County, Wisconsin, had lived in Telfair and Dodge Counties for the past 18 years. She was a Methodist, a homemaker and bank clerk. -Survivors: daughters, Diane MacAllester (Bill) of Eastman and Christine Stroemer (Lee) of St. Paul, Minnesota; son, William C. Steavpack (Susan) of McRae; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Brian, Erik, Sarah, James, Stacee and Laura; three great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ava and Jack. -The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel one hour before services on Friday. Kenny Kilgore -EASTMAN - Kenny Kilgore, age 52, of Eastman, died Monday, April 14, 2008. -Kenny was born in New London, Conneticut, was a Baptist and former employee of Standard Candy Company. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Blanton. -Survivors include: parents, Doris Hickman Kilgore and Reginald Kilgore; daughters, Saundra Brown and Krysta Paul; sisters, Gwen Sheffield, Sharon Payne, and Tanya Burch; grandchildren, John Brown, Jr., Anna Brown, and Dayton Brown; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. -The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00P.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Central Baptist Church. -He is survived by his wife, Mozell Payne of Eastman; Daughters, Sandra Levens (Gary) of Ballground, GA and Joan Messter of Miami, FL; Son, Everitt Payne of Atlanta, GA; step-sons, Greg Bowen of St. Louis, MO and Keith Bowen of Salisbury, NC; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by step-son, Phil Bowen. -He was a member of Central Baptist Church and The United Brotherhood of Carpenters. -Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Ralph Blankenship -EASTMAN - Mr. Ralph W. Blankenship, age 83, of Eastman died Saturday, April 5, 2008. -Funeral services are scheduled for 2P.M. Monday, April 7 in Lovely Grove Baptist Church, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. -Mr. Blankenship was born in Bleckley County, was a member and former choir director of Lovely Grove Baptist Church, a retired State of Georgia DOT employee, a veteran of U.S. Navy, World War II, son of the late Hartley Blankenship and Amanda Smith Blankenship. -Survivors: wife, Lina Boutwell Blankenship; son, Randy Blankenship (Tawana); stepson, Larry Boutwell (Patricia); stepdaughters, Shelby Bell (Charles) and Kelly Ward (Arlis); sister, Jewell Jones Harrell; brother, Maxwel Blankenship; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. -The family will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Daniel Cook officiating. -Corkey was born in Dodge County, was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and son of the late Charles D. Tuesday, March 25 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with interment in Plainfield Cemetery. -Mrs. Peacock was born in Laurens County, was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a homemaker, daughter of the late Maggie McCullough Beck and Oscar D. Beck and widow of Oscar Peacock. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Thornton and three brothers, Cliff Beck, Ralph Beck and Bill Beck. -Survivors: three daughters, Bobbie Hightower (Ray), Lawanda Gillis (Windell) and Carole Bland; one son, Benny Peacock (Verlie); three sisters, Josephine Kirkley, Rita Sheffield and Mary Ann Deal; one brother, Kennon Beck; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. -The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 16 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. -Mr. Purvis, a Dodge County native, was a member of Truth Tabernacle Church, a retired employee of C&J Manufacturing Company, and son of the late Lula N. Clark Purvis and William R. Purvis. -Survivors: wife, Nellie Green Purvis; two daughters, Wynell Hulett (Austin) and Margaret Piper (James); two sons, Leon Purvis (Wilma) and Glenn Purvis (Gail); two sisters, Pearlene Piper and Lillian Harvell; three brothers, Edwin Purvis, W. R. Sunday, March 16 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with interment in Zion Hope Cemetery. -Frankie was born in Telfair County, was a mobile home transport operator, daughter of the late Ruby Walker Howell and Frank Howell and attended Zion Hope Baptist Church. -Survivors: husband, Jimmy Woodard, Sr. of Eastman; two daughters, Teresa Deluca and Rosa Garnett Woodard; two sons, Jimmy Woodard, Jr. and Tony Woodard; two sisters, Rosa Pearl Fountain and Velma Spires; one brother, Bennett Howell; five grandchildren. -The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
